Capri, Italy
The Italian island of Capri is the stuff postcards are made of: bright blue water, craggy cliffs, white beaches and lemon trees. It's a destination for the rich and famous, but it's not out of many travelers' price range. If you're planning a trip to Italy, consider catching a ferry in Naples or Sorrento to this gorgeous island getaway.
In addition to the beaches, you'll find ancient ruins, grottoes and churches, not to mention inexpensive restaurants, many with breathtaking views of the sea. This article in The New York Times provides a colorful glimpse of Capri.
